This is a really quick drive-by, perfect for a quick stop and then a hop back on
the freeway.
Note: None of the map links have the exact right location, but the rest area is
within 100 yards. It is the big concrete area shown on satellite images.
1. Head Eastbound on I-90, take the exit to Indian John Rest Area (the first
rest area after you pass Cle Elum)
2. Park in car lot
3. Head to the Indian John Rest Area sign by the bathrooms
4. Stand in front of the TV on the wall
5. On your left is a fence, hop over it
6. On the west side (behind) the tree that is closest to the building covered by
rocks is the box
Please rehide better than you found, completely out of sight. Thank you!

Lake Pleasant Community Beach County Park lures visitors with the opportunity of
fishing, swimming, and sunbathing. Boat trailer parking and boarding docks are
available to the Kokanee (land-locked Silver Trout) anglers. Almost two acres
and 280 lineal feet of lakefront make up this Park; located a short distance off
Highway 101 in Beaver, ten miles north of Forks. It's a great spot to stop
during a long drive and dip your toes in the refreshing water.
From Highway 101 turn onto W Lake Pleasant Rd. Go 1/4 mile to Lake Pleasant
County Park on the right. From the parking lot walk to the lake. Turn right and
go to the fence. At the 3rd fence post from the lake there is a small hedge type
tree. In the back of the tree hidden in the branches is your treasure.
Except for the otter eating fish in the water, we were there alone at the park
but in the summer the park may be busier so please be stealthy and hide the box
well.

As a Twilight Fan, you know Forks. As a job, Jazz Sprocket knows Forks. Jazz
Sprocket came home to report the phenomenon he saw happening daily in Forks:
Flocks of Twilight readers crawling all over the town. He said, you've got to
carve a stamp. So I did.
Twilight #4 will be followed by #3, #2 and #1. Maybe not in that order. We'll
see.
The box isn't hidden at any of the Twilight "hot spots" so as to provide a bit
of stealth when finding, stamping, and rehiding.
Clues:
Cross the Calawah Bridge created in 1939.
See the Welcome to Forks sign.
Find the Calawah River Boat Launch nearby.
See the gate at the entrance of the boat launch parking area.
From the left gate post walk 342 for 25 paces.
You should be near a young douglas fir in a grassy area with holly and snowberry
bushes.
On the NW side at the tree's base between roots and under a rock and tree debris
is your twilight delight.
Please walk from the gate and not up or down the steep embankment. This will
keep the area from getting scuffed up. Hope you enjoy and please let me know how
Twilight #4 is doing.

The northern coast of the Olympic Peninsula boasts vast numbers of Dungeness
crab, the impressive Dungeness Spit, the townlet of Dungeness, and now also a
little Dungeness letterbox.
If you wander down to Albert Haller's little county park and over to the modest
boat launch, you will see the Old Oyster House. The new Dungeness lighthouse
stands at the end of the big spit bearing 25 degrees, and the end of Cline Spit
is visible at about 300 degrees.
Find the clam information center. Then face 285 degrees. 58 steps will bring you
to the babe, and 31 more will take you to the herb. Just 37 steps further and
you will come to the end of a large, slightly hollowed out beach log. At the
western end of this log some small pieces of driftwood hide the opening to its
semi-hollowed middle. Inside, the Dungeness crab is waiting to entertain
visitors.
Please be discreet and re-hide the box carefully, as the beach log is in plain
view. All compass readings are magnetic. There are ocean-view picnic tables and
restrooms available at the park. Nearby you can find the amazing Dungeness Spit
National Wildlife Refuge, the reasonably tasty Three Crabs Restaurant, and many
lavender farms which are worth a visit during the peak of the season, June
through August. Please drop me a note if you find this box. Thanks!

"Flight of the Dragonfly"
(From the rose-covered gazebo, the picnic areas and playground, this 10-acre
park is a great afternoon spot for romance or family fun.) This is a VERY
popular spot to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, so be careful you are
not spotted when finding and replacing this special box.
Clues:
As you enter Port Townsend, follow Water Street through town. Turn left on the
street named after our fifth president who served 1817-1825, nicknamed the "Last
Cocked Hat". Next, turn right on the street named after our sixteenth president
who served 1861-1865, nicknamed the "Illinois Rail Splitter". Then, turn left on
the street named after our seventh president who served 1829-1837, nicknamed
"Old Hickory". There will be parking on your right.
Now, on foot, enter at the "Chief's Gate" and follow the main walk. Turn left on
the pathway at the point where Chetzemoka is sandwiched between the "stars".
Enter the rose "tunnel" as it curves to the left. (Don't forget to "stop and
smell the roses".) You will see a foot bridge. Cross over it keeping close to
the shrubbery on your right, leading you slightly down hill.
Stop next to the trunk of the Weeping Willow and face the tranquil tropical
garden which is fed by a tiny stream. Continue left around the fenced garden
turning right onto the footpath. Before you reach the foot bridge, turn left
onto the small winding footpath that leads you through the wood. Listen to the
song of the sea as it calls your name. As you come into the clear, rest on the
"lover's bench". Take in the view and breathe deep the mist of the sea.
Now, behind you is the beautiful rose-covered gazebo. Stand at the foot of its
staircase. Counting the posts counterclockwise, you will find the "Flight of the
Dragonfly" behind and at the base of the 4th post.
Important note: Please read the inside cover of the journal and take one of the
pre-paid post cards and jot down a sentence or two about your journey then drop
it in a mailbox at your earliest convenience.
This is a VERY popular spot to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, so be
careful you are not spotted when finding and replacing this special box.

Tiki Time Alive and well as of May 31, 2010
This stamp was inspired by my youngest son's favorite summer shorts.
Find your way to Old Mill Park in Silverdale, WA.
There is a small paking lot here or you can park across the street.
Head toward the restroom end of the parking lot and take a left up the
hill.
Continue to the left around the pond. Stop and read the Capt. Madison
Memorial. If your lucky there will be little wooden boats to play with.
Continue on and find the heart of stone. At the back of the resting
place, walk 10 paces N. At the base of a clumpy tree is the Tiki.
Poke about a bit . Lots of leaf litter to get through. |

-Walk to the large steel ledge.
-Stand on the ledge and find the steel measuring marker.

on the forest side, not on the river side.

To find my picnic basket take I-90 to exit 71 ( Iron Horse St. Park/Easton).
Follow signs to Iron Horse St. Park.
Pass by a grouping of concrete triangles and cross over the railroad tracks.
Take a left onto dirt/gravel road and take a right into park.
Go to the picnic table nearest to the restrooms.
Have a seat with your back facing the restrooms.
The picnic basket letterbox is at the base of the first tree on your left in
front of you, under a few rocks on the right side of the tree!
This park is a great place to come if you like horses! There is also the Iron
horse trail on the left side of the park as you enter. The trail is great for
hiking, biking, and there is designated camping spots available along the way.
