(This little jaunt is best taken at low tide. Park at
the Boiler Bay State Recreation Area and take
the steep trail to the beach. At low tide you can
see the old steam boiler that washed ashore when
the J. Marhoffer wrecked in 1910, and many
tidepools can be observed for sea life. This area
is a protected reserve, so nothing is to be removed
from this beach.)
