Count Tyrone Rugen decided to take a trip to a little Bavarian village nestled in the mountains in the state of Washington. He was told that the best place to find a new hat was at the hat shop, where they specialize in just about any hat you can imagine. After making his purchase there he wandered around to the many shops and settled himself at Gustav's restaurant. After enjoying his meal there he wandered outside and up the small hill. There, across from the restaurant he found a bench with an odd backing. He looked at his right hand glove and decided to leave it there as a memento to his trip and as a sign of respect for a fallen soldier.

His glove is what you seek, it is hiding between the bench and backing. If you are sitting on the bench you will find the glove by reaching down behind the left side of the bench. Please find and rehide carefully as this is a very busy town with many people driving and walking by.

In the picture you will see why the Count decided to leave his glove as a memento.

+++This letterbox was reported missing as of October 2008. Sadly, this is the second time this box has gone missing so it will not be replaced. ++++

This letterbox is located along the Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail. It is a short, easy find, and the stamp is really cool. BRING COLORED MARKERS OR STAMP PAD AS NONE IS PROVIDED!

In East Wenatchee, at the intersection of Sunset highway and 9th Street, there is a 7-11 and JB Steamers espresso stand. Park in the lot there. Walk to the stoplight at that intersection and cross the street to where the large pedestrian bridge goes across the river. Once across the street, take the downhill paved trail furthest to the right, NOT across the bridge. Follow the trail just a little way until you reach a fence on the left where a white and blue garbage can usually sits across from the fence. At this point there is a little bridge with rocks built up on the sides and a little waterfall on your right. It's pretty green here compared with the immediate surrounding area, and a nice quiet little spot for a letterbox! Now walk past the waterfall and notice the boulders along the right side of the trail. About half way along the boulders look for a large flat boulder stuck at a 45 degree angle on the hillside. The letterbox is tucked under there, under some smaller rocks. PLEASE be sure it is completely hidden when you replace it! This area is busy and it needs to be completely hidden from all angles. Thanks so much for being careful about this and have fun letterboxing!
